I love observational drawing from life, especially portraits and the natural world. I am a compulsive people watcher and aim to catch the unconsciously expressed, fleeting emotions which pass over a face before they vanish! This is why most of my portraits are done as fast as I can draw them.
I am the host of Pencils4Tea, an Instagram community which gets together on Zoom every Thursday from 6-7pm UK time to draw speed-portraits to music. For more info on Pencils4Tea or to join us, check out @pencils4tea on Instagram.
I studied Illustration at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design (DJCAD) in Dundee, Scotland, and Ontario College of Art & Design (now OCADU) in Toronto, Canada.
Clients include; Scottish Government, NHS Tayside Dental Service, Explore Dundee (McGill’s Buses) & National Trust for Scotland. I was also shortlisted for the Macmillan Prize for Illustration.
